Why I'm a Bad Blogger...

Reason Number One: I conjure up many thought-provoking and entertaining posts in my head all day long, but by the time I sit down at the nearest computer, my ADD-ish mind is already brewing up a new topic--a topic I haven't had time to fully develop and, therefore, cannot actually write about.

Reason Number Two: Because of Reason Number One, I have three half-written posts on the same subject sitting in my draft box at this very moment. I feel like I can't possibly write about something else until I finish at least one of the three existing drafts.

Reason Number Three: I only write posts that are sure to evoke a response from my faithful readers (i.e. I think I have Malaria). Unless I'm 99.9% certain I will receive at least one comment on the post, I simply will not write it. (I'm sure there is a psychologically dysfunctional reason for this, but English-speaking psychiatrists are few and far between here in Korea, so I guess I'll never know.)

Reason Number Four: I do not have Malaria. (I realize this has absolutely nothing to do with the topic, but I thought it might be a good time to reassure everyone that I'm as healthy as can be.)

Reason Number Five: I feel like I can't write a post about my Thailand trip without pictures, and since I've run into a few technical difficulties (my computer crashed and then I lost my USB chord, just to name a couple), I have nothing to show you just yet. But I'm leaving you with a promise of good intentions: I will have my pictures up and running for your viewing pleasure by the end of the week.

I have returned from Thailand. And I think I have Malaria.
