So, this is Christmas...

...and what have you done? Let me tell you a little bit about my Christmas (even though I'm only part way through the day). My roommate and I got up at an ungodly hour this morning (nine in the a.m.--gasp!) and cleaned the house like a couple of mad women, trying to prepare for a Christmas brunch that we threw together at the last minute--literally. We made French toast, fruit salad, bacon, coffee, so on and so forth and then had a few friends over to enjoy the festivities. It was a good time and I'm still stuffed to the max, even four and a half hours after the fact.

After brunch, a quick and questionable game of Rummikub was played (there was a slight debate regarding the rules of the game and there were quite a few exceptions made for the more temperamental players). We then made our way to Haeundae Beach for a stroll along the water (the weather is gorgeous today) and for some photo-ops in front of the huge, gold pig statue that is currently residing smack dab in the middle of the beach, awaiting the New Year (apparently 2007 is the year of the pig):

Now I'm sitting in my living room, watching the Christmas tree lights as they have one of their occasional spastic moments (they randomly flash like craziness for no reason), and awaiting the arrival of seven o'clock, which marks a turkey dinner at some restaurant nearly an hour away from here. But, hey, it's Christmas day, and that calls for going to great lengths for good food. Especially in Korea.

Now that I've given you an unnecessary play-by-play of my day, I would like to wish you all a very, merry Christmas. And a happy New Year while I'm at it, seeing as how I rarely update this blog and will probably fail to do so between now and the beginning of 2007.

Merry Christmas!
