The Philippines

I admit it: I'm too lazy to write a detailed account of my trip to the Philippines. But I have started uploading pictures of my little expedition into my Flickr account, so please click on the little badge to your right (the thing with all of the pictures flashing around... you can't miss it). I'll be uploading more photos over the next week, so check back for more!

Quick run-down: We spent one night in Manila, which felt a little seedy, but we were in and out in only 12 hours. We flew out the following morning (on a tiny airplane!) to El Nido which, aside from it's dirt runway and shack of an airport, is quite possibly the most magical place on Earth. I've never seen such clear water in my life. There are hundreds of cliff-like islands jetting up out of the aquamarine water nearly everywhere you look. The snorkeling there is amazing, too (even though I'm terrified of any form of marine life). We snorkeled every day, we went kayaking (and almost died, as the water was out-of-control wavy) a couple of times, and we star-gazed almost every night. The night sky was beautiful way out there in nowhere. We spent a full week in El Nido and I wish so much we could have stayed longer. I highly recommend the place!
Merry Christmas!

Well it looks like a beautiful place to go! But where are the rest of the pictures?! I want more! BUT I wouldn't want to go there because my fear of spiders and crabs would just overtake me. I would be freaking out the entire time.
